Distribution and Structure Analysis of Mountain Permafrost Landscape in Orulgan Ridge (Northeast Siberia) Using Google Earth Engine

An analysis of the landscape spatial structure and diversity in mountain ranges Northeast Siberia is essential to assess how tundra boreal landscapes may respond climate change anthropogenic impacts vast mountainous permafrost Arctic regions. In addition, a precise map required for knowledge-based territorial planning management. this article, we aimed explore enhanced methods analyse Orulgan Ridge. The Google Earth Engine cloud platform was used generate vegetation cover maps based on multi-fusion classification Sentinel 2 MSI Landsat 8 OLI time series data. Phenological features monthly median values Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Green (GNDVI), Moisture (NDMI) were recognize geobotanical units according hierarchical concept by Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier. geomorphological variables megarelief (mountains river valleys) identified using GIS-based terrain landform ASTER GDEM scenes mosaic. resulting environmental made it possible categorize nine classes landscapes. result obtained compared with previous maps, which revealed significant difference distribution intrazonal valleys Analysis Larix-sparse forests tundra. Landscape described six longitudinal latitudinal hypsometric profiles. River allow boreal–taiga move up high-mountainous ridge are noted, which, along specific organization relief, can be key importance monitoring study regional variability climatic changes.
